A Pulp Fiction like look at the world of the samurai. Beautifully filmed in black and white that contrasts with a rock and roll score that is as unsettling as samurais and comedy.

The movie has a plot about a stolen sword, and a renegade talented samurai being chased by a heroic bumbling samurai who is saved by a peaceful master samurai.

There are some interesting camera shots but the action scenes just aren't too good. They play our more like Jackie Chan comedy scenes, rather then real samurai fighting.

For a comedy, it just isn't that funny. A similarly styled movie, that is much better is Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress.
