Explanation of Grading
The marking period grades are each worth 20% of final grade. The exams are worth 10% each. To calculate a final grade take marking period 1 grade and convert it to a letter grade using following system.
A+ 97- 100 4.3
A 93 - 96 4.0
A- 90 - 92 3.6
B+ 87 - 89 3.3
B 83 - 86 3.0
B- 80 - 82 2.6
C+ 77 - 79 2.3
C 73 - 76 2.0
C- 70 - 72 1.6
D+ 67 - 69 1.3
D 65 - 66 1.0
F 0 - 64 0.0
If you get the GPA of the 4 marking periods and multiply them by .2 (20%) and add on the two exams multiplied by .1 (10%) you will get a GPA which you can then convert to the final letter grade.
